Exams

Students are encouraged to study and take part in Royal Academy of Dance exams. Sitting exams helps set goals and build confidence in ones ability.

Exam day is always a positive experience and a highly enjoyable day out in our calendar of events.

Irish dancing students are eligible to take part in CLRG exams allowing them to develop skills and knowledge in the Irish language, ceili dancing and solo dancing.

Competitions

Irish dancing students once attending multiple classes weekly are invited to take part in the CLRG feis calendar of events. Through competing as solo dancers and teams children develop sportsmanship and teamwork. It is always a fun day out at a feis!

EDS students have achieved wonderful results over the last 3years and we cannot wait to see them compete at Leinsters again in 2021.

Ballet students may be invited to compete at the annual National Dance Championships in Ennis.This event is a fantastic way to enjoy extra stage time and gain confidence in performing as a soloist or in a group.

Performances

EDS students of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to take part in performances, displays and events.

Our school production takes place biennially and sees all members take to the stage to tell a story and create a production.

Performance skills are so important for building confidence and learning to perform as a group.

Other performance opportunities include:

-Christmas Performance at TLC

-School fun days

-End of year Showcase (Teen and Adult dancers only)

-Parents Display Day

-St. Patrick's Day Parade

- EDS Open Day
